Salt Lake City is our most diverse service area. Cars in the Avenues are dealing with very different conditions than cars in Sugar House or downtown. We've detailed everything from garaged classics on the east bench to daily-driven Teslas charging on the curb in 9th & 9th.

What we see most often on Salt Lake City vehicles

Tree sap and bird droppings in the Avenues, Sugar House, and 9th & 9th. Mature trees in older neighborhoods are great for shade and curb appeal — and brutal on paint. Linden and elm trees drop honeydew (a sticky residue from aphids) that hardens within hours and etches clear coat within days. Bird droppings — particularly from the city's enormous starling population — are even more acidic. A safe wash and decon catches these before they go through the clear coat. After that, it's a polishing job.

Winter inversion particulate. SLC's notorious winter inversions trap fine particulate (PM2.5) in the valley for weeks at a time. The same air quality that's bad for your lungs is bad for your paint. Black soot and combustion byproducts settle on every horizontal panel and bond to clear coat over the winter. Spring details on inversion-exposed cars need an iron decon spray and clay treatment to fully remove the buildup — a standard wash won't touch it.

Road salt and brine downtown. UDOT brines the I-15, I-80, and downtown corridors heavily during winter. Magnesium chloride is more aggressive on paint and wheels than traditional rock salt. Cars driven into downtown for work all winter come out spring with white deposits inside wheel wells, on rocker panels, and under the front bumper. We catch these on the lowers and undercarriage with a dedicated decon before any contact wash.

Limited driveway access. Many SLC homes — especially in the Avenues, Marmalade, and Capitol Hill — have detached garages, narrow driveways, or street-only parking. We work with what's there. The mobile rig is compact enough to set up in a 12-foot stretch of curb if needed, and we coordinate timing with you to avoid street sweeping days.

How we work in Salt Lake City

Mobile-only. We arrive with onboard water, power, and every product. You don't need to provide a hose, an outlet, or a covered space — though if you have any of those, we'll use them. We typically text 30 minutes before arrival and do a pre-wash walk-around to confirm condition and scope.

Appointments usually run 2 to 5 hours depending on the package. We'll work with neighborhood parking rules (street sweeping, permit zones, time limits) to find a window that doesn't get us towed.
